Mark McKenzie, Central Bark Jacksonville Owner
Mark McKenzie is a 22-year veteran of the United States Marines and has lived in Jacksonville for 25 years. During Mark’s tenure in the Marines, he served in many places both in the Continental United States and overseas. After retiring from the Marines in 2005, he worked for Randstad North America, one of the largest staffing companies in the world. His most recent position was Regional Vice President for their In-house Services Division where he managed accounts throughout Florida and South Georgia.
Mark became a Central Bark Franchisee because of his love for all animals, specifically dogs. Mark’s goal as a Central Bark owner is to give back to non-profit rescue animal organizations in the Jacksonville community as a testament to the dogs who have given so much to him and his family.
Mark is the proud parent of three daughters; Rebecca, Rachel and Kori. His daughters are all grown and parents to their children or fur babies. Mark has two puppies Riley, a 10-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd; Monty a 4-year-old mixed breed rescue and cat siblings, Tom and Quincy.
Central Bark: More than 20 years of puppy love.
Our journey started in the mid-1990s, as we sought to provide a healthy and happy life for our furbabies while balancing the demands of family and work. So we created Central Bark, where our dogs could get exercise, have fun and socialize in a safe environment. Our dogs were happier and healthier, our families felt more peaceful and loving, and our communities had a hub for like-minded dog lovers.
More than 20 years later, some things have evolved, but our mission remains the same: To nurture and enrich whole health, happiness and unconditional love for each dog, family, and community we serve.
“We believe every dog and every family deserve the Central Bark experience.”
